Welcome from Interim Principal Carlita Rodriguez
Dear Roberto Clemente Families,
My name is Carlita Rodriguez, and it is with great excitement that I announce my new assignment as the Interim Principal of Roberto Clemente Elementary School.
Originally born in the Dominican Republic, I immigrated to the United States at a young age and spent my formative years in Paterson. Being a fluent Spanish speaker who pursued my educational journey in Paterson, I am familiar with Paterson’s vibrant multicultural community. Throughout my time in the district, I have been granted opportunities that have allowed me to achieve my aspirations of becoming a school leader.
I have had the privilege of serving students in the Paterson Public School District for over 20 years in my roles as an Elementary Bilingual Special Education teacher, Special Education Supervisor, Vice Principal, and, now, Interim Principal.
As the interim principal, my goal is to embrace this rich community and work alongside Roberto Clemente Elementary School’s teachers and parents in supporting our students in achieving a high level of success.
I have an open-door policy and look forward to meeting you on September 4, the first day of school.
